Clay Canna/Hydroton 15L bags

Also known as Hydroton, these are essentially expandable clay balls. Canna’s are a really good quality with lovely uniformity, so that’s why we stand by this brand. (The clay balls are approximately between 8-16mm across).

If you’re experimenting with different types of media, these clay balls offer a good starting point because they’re quite inexpensive and really easy to use, and they make an excellent substrate for both Hydroponics and Aquaponics. Some veggies like chillies and capsicums take a real liking to them.

• Lightweight
• Clean and easy to handle
• Ph balanced
• Excellent moisture retention
• High porosity and high air content which aids in better root health and development
• Rot and fungus free
• Re-usable over and over again (but be sure to give them a good clean with isopropyl alcohol after each use to remove traces of previously used nutrients; rinsed with pH balanced water
• Can also be used for drainage in pots with potting soil.
