SYSTEM.
I am fairly new to Hydroponics and I
decided to build this type of system.
Well I snapped the old brain into gear
and started. I wanted to keep the cost down, so for the table I went out
to the local tip or "MY Kmart" as I like to call it. I found
two old rusty 25mm steel frames which I purchased for $5.00. I went home
cleaned them up and a coat of paint and they looked like new. Because I
wanted to grow Tomatoes I went back out to "MY Kmart" and
found 6 x 2.5 mtr of 25mm steel that would do the job. Another $5.00. I
looked around for some plywood sheets that would be for the table top
and with a lot of hard looking I found what I wanted. Another $3.00. All
up cost so far was $13.00. Well the local tip has come in handy.
The rest of the system I brought new. I
used 30cm Pots, assorted plumbing and fittings. I have an ATMAN AT-105
Pump which is doing the job real fine. I had an air pump and timer in my
collection in the old shed. I used 2 ½ bags of Expanded Clay and a stop
valve for one of the nutrient tanks. Oh the header tank & tap
"MY Kmart" $2.00. I use HyperGro Growth and HyperGro Bloom for
the nutrient which is easy to use.
The system is working well and the plants
are going great. Well at the rate the plants are growing it won't be
long before I will be eating my own Hydroponic Tomatoes and not buying
them. Well Happy Hydroponicing.
